The Charm-Pure™ 96 FFPE MicroRNA/Total RNA Isolation Kit is designed and optimized for easy and fast isolation of
high-quality RNA from FFPE tissues. Charm-Pure system employs special turbo-binding membranes
as selective nucleic acid captures in a familiar column format to efficiently
extract RNA from FFPE sample tissues with higher yield and purity than
conventional silica membrane. RNA molecules can specifically interact with the turbo-binding membrane in the
extraction buffer, while proteins and other contaminants are not bound and
remain in the solution and passed through. After
washing the column with washing buffer to remove unbound material, the purified
total RNA and microRNA can be easily eluted in 10 mM Tris Elution Buffer or water. The novel
sample buffers and process in this kit can also efficiently remove nucleic acid
chemical modifications introduced by formalin fixation step in tissues embedding
process. The modification-removed RNA molecules are better substrates being ready
for use in downstream applications, such as reverse transcription, microRNA
detection, quantitative RT-PCR (qRT-PCR) and other gene expression analysis.
