How Just-a-Plate or Just-a-Tube PCR Purification Kit Works

 

The Just-a-Plate96 PCR Purification Kit or Just-a-Tube PCR Purification Kit is designed and optimized for simple, fast and high-throughput purification of PCR products directly from the same PCR reaction plate/tube. Up to 96 DNA samples can be simultaneously purified in a 96-well microplate format in less than 20 minutes. After PCR reaction, without transferring, PCR products can be purified in the same PCR reaction plate/tube with high efficiency. No spin-column, filter plate, silica membrane or magnetic beads are needed for the isolation and no vacuum and filtration are required in the process.  Based on Charm Biotech developed Solid Surface Reversible Binding (SSRB) technology, Just-a-Plate/Just-a-Tube system employs the solid 96-well plate or 8-well strip PCR tube surface coated with proprietary turbo-binders as selective nucleic acid capturers to efficiently bind PCR DNA from reaction mixtures. DNA molecules can specifically interact with the turbo binder in the extraction buffer, while primers, nucleotides and other contaminants are not bound and remain in the solution. After washing the plate with washing buffer to remove unbound material, the purified PCR prodcuts can be easily eluted in 10 mM Tris Elution Buffer or water. The purified PCR DNA fragment size can be selectively controlled by adjusting the concentration of binding buffer provided in the kit, which is much easier than agarose gel-based PCR fragment selection and purifcation method. The plate used in the kit is compatible with a variety of automated liquid handler, centrifuges, robots, pipetting devices, automated sequencers and PCR cyclers. The isolated ready-to-use PCR products are ideal for use in restriction enzyme digestion, SNP analysis, automated sequencing reactions, offering superior data quality and read length.
