Just-a-Plate 96 FFPE Genomic DNA Isolation Kit

 

The Just-a-Plate96 FFPE gDNA Isolation Kit is designed and optimized for easy, fast and high-throughput isolation of high-quality gDNA from FFPE tissues. No silica membrane, filter plate, or magnetic beads are needed and no chemical de-paraffin steps are required in the process.  Based on charm biotech developed Solid Surface Reversible Binding (SSRB) technology (patent pending), Just-a-plate system employs the 96-well plate surface coated with proprietary turbo-binders as selective nucleic acid capturers to efficiently extract gDNA from FFPE sample tissues. Genomic DNA molecules can specifically interact with the turbo binder in the extraction buffer, while proteins and other contaminants are not bound and remain in the solution. After washing the plate with washing buffer to remove unbound material, the purified gDNA can be easily eluted in 10 mM Tris Elution Buffer or water. The novel sample buffers and process in this kit can also efficiently remove nucleic acid chemical modifications introduced by formalin fixation step in tissues embedding process. The modification-removed DNA molecules are better substrates being ready for use in downstream applications, such as restriction digestion, primer extension, PCR, whole genome amplification (WGA) and other gene expression analysis. Since no silica membrane and beads have been used in the plate, there are no dead spaces and sample trapping problems related with membrane or bead-based column or plate methods. These features not only allow fast buffer washing and easy sample elution, but also provide the maximum sample recovery, which is extremely important when the sample amount is limit and there is no room for any sample loss, such as FFPE samples.
